BOSpulse 6.1 Extended support for flow-induced pulsation analyses

BOSpulse 6.1 extends its capabilities for performing flow-induced pulsation analyses. A new standard report, named “FIP Source Pressures”, lists the acoustic pressure source terms that are applied at tee and cross junctions to simulate the effects of flow-induced pulsations. A new data set, named “Source Pressure”, shows the oscillating pressure sources that simulate the effects of vortex shedding.

BOSpulse 6.1 FIP source pressure

The new Junction Activation analysis parameter controls at which junctions an oscillating pressure source is to be applied. In particular, it is possible to let the Energy Institute Guidelines determine at which junctions a pressure source is to be applied.

The structural solver interface has been extended so that it is possible to apply the shaking forces obtained by means of flow-induced pulsation analyses. This means that you can perform a structural
response analyses right from within BOSpulse, provided that you have a compatible ANSYS
license.
