BOSpulse 6.0 Other Improvements

BOSpulse 6.0 brings various other improvements, including an improved steady state flow solver that requires a substantial lower number of iterations for models containing reciprocating equipment.

Another improvement concerns the Surge Vessel element type provides support for specifying the initial state at operating conditions or at installation conditions. In the latter case you can specify the installation gas volume, pressure and temperature. The ideal gas law is then used to calculate the gas volume at operating conditions.

BOSpulse, PSD Editor

The PSD assembly editor has been modified so that you now need to specify the locations of nozzles and choke tubes relative to the first or second node of the Pulsation Suppression Device. This change makes it more straightforward to create a PSD models from schematic drawings.

The already excellent Piping Component File (PCF) interface has been improved further with support for generating element groups based on specific PCF identifiers, including the SKEY and ITEM-CODE identifiers. Using this new feature you can more efficiently edit the properties of special flow elements, like valves, after importing the PCFs.
