BOSpulse 5.1: Improved and more efficient user interface
DRG » Knowledge Base Articles » BOSpulse 5.1: Improved and more efficient user interface
As has become a sort of tradition, this new BOSpulse release brings many small and large improvements to its user interface that make it even more efficient and versatile. For instance, many dialog boxes for entering model parameters are embedded in the main BOSpulse window instead of being shown in separate windows. This makes it possible to interact with the model viewer while the dialog box is active. In particular, when entering a reference to an element or a node,
you can simply select the target item in the model viewer.
Force pairs can be specified more efficiently through a new, embedded dialog box that lists both the user-defined force pairs and the automatic force pairs. User-defined force pairs can be specified by selecting the relevant nodes in the model viewer. When selecting a force pair in the dialog box it is highlighted in the model viewer so that you do not have to search for the node identifiers.
If desired, the model viewer can show the orientation of pipe elements by means of direction markers. Those direction markers can also be used to indicate the flow direction in the Results tab page. This means that you no longer need to know the element orientation in order to determine the flow direction.
Other improvements to the user interface include: support for file names containing non-Latin characters; support for specifying the number format when generating custom reports; extension of the model viewer with support for specifying the node and element label density; support for adding captions to snapshots of the model viewer; and support for saving those snapshots automatically to image files.
