BOSfluids 7.2 Improved Accuracy For Gas-Filled Systems
DRG » Knowledge Base Articles » BOSfluids 7.2 Improved Accuracy For Gas-Filled Systems
This new BOSfluids release significantly improves the accuracy of the steady-state solver for gas-filled systems by applying a recursive model refinement algorithm. This means that longer pipeline sections are automatically divided into smaller sections in order to account for gas density changes within the section.
The model refinement happens completely within the solver so that you can build your models in any way that best meets your needs.
By applying a model refinement procedure there is no need to solve a different set of flow equations for each equation of state. In this way the steady state solver code base remains flexible and can easily support equations of state that are specified in tabular form such as the Custom Gas equation of state.
