BOSfluids 7.2 Extension Of Special Flow Elements
DRG » Knowledge Base Articles » BOSfluids 7.2 Extension Of Special Flow Elements
This new BOSfluids release adds new features to various special flow elements. The Tank element type now supports the specification of a maximum liquid height. When the liquid level exceeds the maximum height, then the tank is assumed to overflow and will function as a fixed-pressure boundary condition.
The Air Valve and Deluge Nozzle element types have been extended with support for specifying a pressure boundary condition at their open-end nodes. This makes it possible to specify an inlet/outlet pressure that differs from the ambient pressure. You can use this feature, among others, to simulate blow-down and tube rupture scenarios, and vacuum wastewater disposal systems.
