Plant Design

At Dynaflow Research Group we understand that the reliability, safety and durability of an industrial plant or pipeline strongly depends on the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED). With decades of expertise and a commitment to excellence, we offer comprehensive engineering services tailored to the unique needs of plant design across diverse sectors including petrochemical, water industries and renewable energies like carbon capture and concentrated solar plants.

Our team of experts is ready to provide a wide range of engineering services, with a focus on providing cost-efficient and safe piping system design. Using Caesar II a flexibility analysis will be performed to determine the pipe routing, support locations and support functionalities.

Besides the piping system, our team of experts is specialized in performing mechanical calculations on pressure vessels, supporting primary and secondary steel, scaffolding, flanges and piping supports, etc. Design iterations will always play a major role and will be undertaken by close interaction between our engineers and the client.

Furthermore, our approach encompasses a thorough analysis of system responses during potential occasional events like earthquakes, storms, or other dynamic occurrences, such as the motion of FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading). Integral to our projects is the assessment of the impact and interaction of the piping system on connected equipment, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive and resilient engineering solutions.

Vibration Analysis

In the event of gas releases through Pressure Safety Devices (PSDs) vibrations might occur. Following the Energy Institute guidelines our experts will perform a thorough assessment of the critical lines based on the provided line lists and and heat and mass balances. For the locations with an increased Likelihood of Failure (LoF) for Acoustic Induced Vibrations (AIV) or Flow Induced Vibrations (FIV) vibrations, practical mitigations will be proposed.

Surge And Water Hammer

When designing a plant, it is required to anticipate the plant’s operation; there will always be desired and undesired transient events that cause pressure fluctuations in the system. When these transient events occur (i.e. pump start, pump trip, or valve closure) a potential pressure surge (water hammer) could cause an unexpected system response.

Our team of experts is trained to perform these Pressure Surge Analyses for the most critical scenarios to identify bottlenecks and propose practical mitigations to reduce the operational risks to the minimum.

Fiberglass Engineering

DRG specializes in analyzing the stress in fiberglass elements, including pipelines, equipment, and assembly components. This ensures the proper functioning and durability of fiberglass piping systems.
